Lie #1: I Have To Be In Shape To Do CrossFit.

Welcome to our 1st mini-series for the site where we’ll be discussing 5 Lies people believe and buy into when it comes to CrossFit. Here’s a quick preview, so that you’re in the know on the other 4 of 5 Lies:

#1 – I have to be in shape to do CrossFit.

#2 – CrossFit is too expensive.

#3 – CrossFit will bulk me up, so no.

#4 – CrossFit is Dangerous.

#5 – CrossFit is for young people.

So, let’s dive into Lie #1: I Have To Be In Shape To Do CrossFit.

Let me just start by saying that we’ve already seen 10 people in our Box in the 1st 4.5 months lose 30+ pounds! These weren’t folks that just wanted to go next level in their fitness. These were men and women, moms and dads, young and old that NEEDED CrossFit. They needed to make a change in their life and they came to CrossFit Sacred Pine because they had tried everything else and nothing was working. It’s funny how sometimes we know the solution but we refuse to try it before we’ve tried everything else.

Contrary to popular opinion and what’s portrayed in ESPN with the CrossFit Games, you don’t have to be in shape to do CrossFit. We’ve had severely de-conditioned people, pre-diabetics, diabetics, total knee replacements, heart conditions, exercise-induced asthmatics, bad hips, bad shoulders, you name it, walk into our gym, and EVERY SINGLE DAY, we’re able to take all of our athletes through the same workout because what we do is UNIVERSALLY SCALABLE.

We LOVE that about CrossFit and the proof is in the pudding! In our 1st 8 weeks as a box, we lost 238 pounds, and in 4.5 months we’ve lost almost 500 pounds. These were people that needed results, came in, worked hard, listened to the coaching and nutritional advice, worked hard in the kitchen, and changed their life!

You’ll see many of our athletes’ stories come out this fall as they share their secrets to success on instagram and facebook. They’ll be the 1st to tell you though, that there is no secret. Daily exercise and dialing in your nutrition can make a world of difference.
